We have enabled the constituent options business rule of "If a constituent gives to an appeal not listed on their Appeal tab...add the appeal to the constituent with the response of gave." However, the business rule doesn't seem to apply to gives coming in from Online Giving. We try to track where every gift comes from and have a selection of appeals that pertain to non direct mail sources, for example donor initiated, major donor solicitation, memorial/honor gift. A number of people submit those donations/payments online using our general form on our website. When handling them in gift batch, we'll update the appeal on the gift and then commit the batch. However, the appeal isn't automatically assigned to the appeals tab/tile once the gift is committed, leaving our appeal tracking incomplete.
