In using query, I'm receiving multiple duplicate results in my output. I know this is due to requesting criteria of Pledge Payments during my date range. I have selected "Suppress Duplicate Rows" in my options, but that is not solving my issue. I would like for it to allow me to only see one result of a duplicated output when I select "Suppress Duplicate Rows".
Thanks for the idea! As you mentioned, duplicates come from the output fields you've chosen in your query, and are a consequence of how it processes. This will be resolved by our current work on "single row query," where we're modernizing database view Export to incorporate it into web view Query. You can find out more about it in our upcoming Product Update Briefings, and I'll likely also be holding Query-focused town halls as we get nearer to release early next year. https://www.blackbaud.com/product-update-briefings/registration
Totally agree. There is an urgent need to improve the 'suppress duplicates' function.
I have a an excel table of 225 rows, for only 40 constituents. This despite only searching for 'Switzerland'! A few of the 'duplicate' rows are not genuine duplicates, but the vast majority are. This really needs to be fixed. I spent an hour on the 'help chat' trying to understand how to remove the duplicates from a second query, but there was nothing he could recommend (other than changing the query itself, which would de-value the point of running a query).
I also spent an hour yesterday manually cleaning up an excel export from another query. This really de-values having the system, we're new users and it's extremely disappointing.
