Give users and admins a way to view progress of exports, queries, reports, dashboards, etc.

Currently, users can’t see progress or estimated completion times for heavy background tasks like exports, queries, reports, dashboards, etc., including failures of especially heavy tasks. This leads to confusion, delays, and difficulty planning workloads.

I propose adding a centralized dashboard where users can see the status, progress, and history of their tasks. It would display details like start/end time, run time, percent complete, and estimated completion. For admins, they could access a global view of all user tasks and resource usage stats, which could help them identify users/system areas consuming disproportionate resources, aiding in troubleshooting and capacity planning.

The benefits would be improving user productivity and transparency, helping admins manage resources and troubleshoot issues, and reducing support requests related to slow or stuck jobs.

I'm filing this idea under Settings, which includes Tools, but feel free to move it somewhere more appropriate.

Users should also be able to terminate their tasks if it's taking too long and they change their mind. Admins should be able to terminate any user's tasks.
