Currently, "pay-stock/property" is a gift type option in Database View and not in WebView, and "stock/property (sold)" is an option in WebView and not in Database View. I reached out to BB Support and unfortunately, it isn't supported. We had entered a gift of "pay-stock/property" in database view and had applied it to a pledge payment and it somehow switched to "pledge payment" in WebView and not a "stock/property".
It would be great to have "pay-stock/property" as an option in WebView or "Stock/Property (sold)" as an option in Database View, so that the two gift types can be mapped or "talk" in both views.
another feature that should be but isn’t! These are the things that make the users so frustrated with this product.
The workflow we have in web view for applying gifts to pledges is just for new entry. We are building the support for applying an existing gift to a pledge and once that as finished we will respect the gift types in the same way we do in db view today. This is planned work for Q1 if not sooner.
It is ASTONISHING that users cannot pay pledges with stock gifts in webview right now. Stock gifts exist. Pledge payments exist. Not bringing those two together is a huge miss.
this key functionality is a BASIC need - the gift types that have been in use since day 1 need to be supported in webview. There are so many ways that this will break our many procedures , reports, exports, reconciliations (just to name a few).
This particular issue causes me problems in Power Automate, since I can't get stock information off the gift because it's gift type is no longer one of the stock types. It would be nice to have the same language in both systems for a change.
I posting again that all gift types from DV should be mapped in WebView as a 1:1 match. It is causing my dashboards to be out of sync. Please vote for this so this is included in the the final transition to WebView.
Currently, the "pay-stock/property" gift type is exclusive to the Database View. This inconsistency is breaking my dashboards, as they fail to recognize the "stock sold" value, leading to inaccurate totals. Since I’m running parallel reports and queries to prepare for the full transition to WebView, I need my data to be reliable and consistent across both platforms. Please bring all Database View gift types, including "pay-stock/property," over to WebView.
Your dashboards won't work if all the fields and gift types are not 1:1 in both views!!!!!! Why would you get rid of a gift type arbitrarily?
