Bring back allowing us to put live donation forms into Test mode. This ability was removed in July 2025

We should be able to place any Donation and Event form into test mode. The new update on July 30, 2025, took away our ability to change a live form into test mode.

I tried to bypass this by placing BBMS into test mode, but Online Giving would not allow access to any forms - it acted like we had no merchant account connected at all and sent me to the startup page.

I tried to copy the form, but even the copy was already in live mode.

So just how are we supposed to try to replicate issues on a form if we cannot put it into test mode?

    You can now copy a form, which will put it back in test mode. As mentioned earlier, we do not intend to allow a backwards progression from live to test because of complications with the performance data associated with live transactions. However, you can now successfully copy the form which will start it back into test mode for your testing.

    I've submitted this as a bug to the donation forms team, they'll pick it up next up and should have a fix out later this week. The intended action is that a copied form goes into Test mode. Due to data integrity, we will not be allowing a live form to be put back to test, but copying will be able to work where it will reset the form's status.

    I'll update here when addressed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
