Receipt Processing in NXT need to be the same as the Database view
Not only is NXT receipting not compliant with the CRA for Canadian charities (it is missing the field for eligible amount of gift), there are many other issues that need to be addressed if the database is being shut down by the end of 2026.
Receipting NEEDS:
separate receipt stacks, mirroring what is in the database view
consolidated receipts options for monthly gifts or annual donors that only want one receipt each year

ability to fully edit the receipt template to match pre-printed paper receipts and branding for charities OR the ability to export applicable fields to use in our own mail merges (what we can currently do with the mail tab in the database view)
adding to that, all gift fields need to be available for editing/adding to the receipts templates, for example gift-in-kind receipts need to have the valuation of the gift included, we put this information in the reference field and use that field on the receipt
we use additional addressee's on receipts, and again this isn't available to add in NXT

Thank you for pointing this out, this is a huge issue for us and it needs to be addressed, the GIK is not a receipt as it appears today, there is no actual receipt value clearly visible, unless you enter it into the reference/comment.
Consolidated receipts: e-receipts and PDF's: many NFPs have recurring donors with end of year consolidated receipting, imagine receiving 12 months of receipts at once! This does not make for an efficient or effective workflow. This is a function in DBase that needs to be transferred over to NXT, as well as setting up the option for consolidated receipts in each record. This is a MUST!
I don't mind the templates, but at the very least remove the proprietary passwords so we can clean them up, we don't need to look like amateurs with our donors - two page receipts? really?
I would also add that when receipting a relationship to an organization, need the ability to select the relationship who is receiving the receipt. some of our orgs have multiple contacts who make different gifts at different times. I sent a receipt recently and it just sent without letting me choose or know who it went to!
