Add more customization to fund overview in NXT/WV

When looking at a fund record in NXT, we get very nice analytical/reporting features such as top donors, top appeals, etc etc. Some of this information is similar to what can be generated in dbv when going (on a Fund record) to View-->Gifts or View-->Summaries.

The problem is that there is some very important customization missing in NXT/WV. Namely, the ability to specify a date range for gifts to be included. In NXT we get only some of the drop down option available in dbv. And one important one is missing: "Specific Range."

The second missing piece is the ability to specify which gift types are counted. Sometimes, for ex., we may want to count gift type "Other" and sometimes we may not. The hard coding of "received" and "committed" does not allow for including this.

I love this feature of the fund record in dbv as it provides quick reporting on a fund. And I like and appreciate the visual layout and appearance of the fund page in NXT/WV. But if these two options (gift date range and gift type) are not added, then I'll be forced to run queries and export data into Excel spreadsheets just so that I can sum up how much was received in date range that doesn't neatly fall into week, month or year... And so from being able to provide an answer to a colleague in 30 seconds when using dbv expands into 15 minutes at least.

It would also be nice if the Revenue amount in the Fund summary was not rounded but was specific (or at least a link to an exact number was available).

    Yes! No rounding!

The flexibility of filtering and reporting via the "Summaries" function on fund, appeal, campaign, and constituent records is sorely missed by those utilizing web view. Developers, please evaluate this functionality in database view when you consider adding it to web view. I would add a screen shot as an attachment here, but it is too robust for a screen shot to capture.

I agree with the need for seeing gifts by date with specific date range as a filter. We use this feature in database all the time to help search for specific gifts and it gives us the specific dollar amount and number of gifts in the specific date range to that fund.

Second, third and so on the need for this to be easily filtered on in web view.

    Again, rounding leads to issues.

I use the view gifts in dbv all the time. Being able to select the date range, soft credit options, matching gift options, which constituents, having the filters on different campaigns, appeals, or constituent codes as well as what gift types to include are very important for my work. The analytical/reporting features are pretty but not very useful in what I use.
