It's great that automated pledges can now be created in the web view, but there is currently no way to amend credit card information in the pledge record without having to create an entirely new gift. I've also discovered that automated pledges, unlike other gift records, cannot be deleted in web view or database view, and the only way I've been suggested to override the existing pledge schedule is to change the dates to far enough in advance that it won't be charged right away. All I'm trying to do is make a manual update to a donor's credit card information in their automated pledge. If a solution can't be found, I need to at the least be able to delete the duplicate pledge record or mark it as inactive/complete.
Since this title is about updating CC information on automated pledges, that has been shipped. You can update the card directly from the pledge record. Direct Debit updates will be coming separately once we have our payment completely released early in Q2.
The ability to amend pledge payment methods is critical.
Donors need to change payment types, so we need to be able to amend the payment information without having to create a new pledge. Continually needing to write off a pledge and create a new one is needlessly complex and the Business Office is not happy with us!
We need this feature to be available now!
I am astounded that this function doesn't exist for pledges created through web forms. This needs to get fixed ASAP.
Until we have the ability to update the card information for automated pledges, we will continue to book pledges in database view. Being able to change to a different card, or payment method all together (the donor decides to pay with a check from their IRA) is a required component of being able to book pledges via webview.
I agree with Matt that this needs to be available ASAP. Writing-off is not a sustainable workaround as it distorts pledge numbers.
Need this option available asap - do not like the suggested work around for donor to have to create new pledge and then we have to write off - should be simple like recurring gifts.
