Need to see more constituent data when entering gifts

When entering gifts I need to be able to see if donor has provided new phone/email. Search window when looking for donor name only displays address. As we have more days with just a few gifts, we are not utilizing an import product but just key in ID to create batch. I need to see more info.
In db view I always had constituent panel at the side of batch so quick scan could see spouse/phone/email/constituent code/addressee without having to open records.

Updating my comment on this: The invaluable key aspects of what we had with this in DBV was that it was

    1) a customizable preview of only the fields you chose, and 2) Info was updatable in the preview and saved to the record.

Manually updating constituent contact details that come in with gifts, and doing spot checks (such as confirming the gift is entered under the Head of Household or that a spouse receives soft credit), is a core part of our role during gift entry.

Having a customizable pop‑up of editable fields that does not require opening a new window for both data checks and updating what we need if it doesn't match is essential for making high‑volume gift processing practical. Without this functionality, contact updates that accompany gifts - like a new address written on an envelope - simply don’t get done.

There are real process-driven needs behind why certain functionalities existed in DBV, and this is definitely one of them.

I cannot stress enough the need to be recreated in NXT WB.

Having a pop-up of the whole constituent record is not a replacement for this function it creates two major slow-downs: 1) You have to scroll for what you need to check, 2) if you need to edit anything, you have to open the record, then go edit each piece separately.

It does not provide a quick preview of just the fields the gift processor needs to check, and it does not allow for them to be edited in the same window.

I am so impressed with how far NXT has come in recent months - this is the next "must have for me in NXT Grid Batch."

Agreed! Checking constituent data for contact updates or verifying that they are Head of Household, their Spouse is Soft credited, etc., is a required part of my job when I do gift entry. In the database view, I have a whole panel customized for what I need to check: contact information, HoH, SC spouse, class year, etc. I have to check all that manually at the time of gift entry in the webview by opening up the constituent record in a second screen and scanning the record for all that information.

The current configuration of a pop-out to the full constituent is not at all helpful. We need to be able to pin a sidebar that shows up for each gift row, with the constituent fields we select. Basically just how you have it in database view. We only want to look over to the side to confirm that we are not getting a new/updated address or email or spouse name, etc.

There is an idea that says this is "shipped" (I think I-8385) but it does not work the same or well. We need a preview window that same as in DBV that stays open or this isn't really helpful. Unless I'm missing something and it can actually be pinned open?
