I'd rather have the ability to set user options (like the Query used in RE:7 search windows) and select what I want to see from each record, as well as the sort order. Sometimes what you're suggesting would be a hinderance...but I can see how it could be helpful for some as well.
A short-term fix for the 8 record search limitation could be to reset the back-end parameters so constituents with gift records are given priority. I'm not sure how those parameters are set now (alphabetically by primary Constituent Code, then by valid address?), but even if the NXT developers want to keep the 8 record limit, it would be super helpful if they could at least change which 8 records pull into the list.
