I think I know where you're going with this, but am going to rephrase to make sure and potentially provide more clarity.
For many years, I have wished that I could save sets of summary criteria, such as all giving (based on specific gift types) during a certain fiscal year, which would then be available for ALL of my queries of that same type. Being able to configure a set of "custom summaries" would actually provide a more frictionless experience for users.
