Constituents other than account users need to be able to be marked as fundraisers in NXT.

In database view, we code board members and volunteers who are actively soliciting on our behalf as Solicitors. I have discovered that on the NXT web view that only actual RE NXT users (the staff who are working in our system) can be designated as Fundraisers, since the NXT system mandates that a Fundraiser must be linked to a user. We certainly can't be the only organization who has board members and volunteers soliciting on our behalf!

I'm so happy to see this! We want to be able to track trustee fundraising efforts as well as we can track staff fundraising. Its a fundamental part of any board but we definatly don't want to give them access to the database! Thank you for posting this

I agree. Blackbaud seems to have chosen a very narrow definition of Fundraiser that does not match what a large number of us are actually doing in terms of system use. While I don't think that non-user Fundraisers need to show up in the fundraiser work center, we do need the ability to designate non-user fundraiser. This is essential for us for how we track our Board giving, but there is no world in which our Board needs access to the system. We need to be able to track their fundraiser efforts without giving them RE access.

One hundred percent need this functionality. We have a third-party contractor that is helping us submit smaller grants and while they are not a RE user (and do not need access to our database) we need to be able to attribute their opportunities to them. Please enable this!

Oh gosh yes. We will never grant every board member access to RE, and yet we definitely need to be able to track their assistance on these gifts. Likewise, senior staff at our hospital have no business being in our fundraising database, but if our hospital's CEO assists on asks, we want to track that. Please enable.

Likewise, we need to be able to mark a non-user as a fundraiser the same as we're able to do so in database view with marking a person as a solicitor.

Agreed - we also have board members and volunteers who we want to mark as Fundraisers but who do not (and will not) have an RE login.

Our fundraising staff need to be able to link faculty, students, or volunteers to actions when they help with a meeting with a donor, etc. We don't give all of those individuals access to Raiser's Edge so we must be able to add fundraisers without linking them to a user account.

This is available functionality in database view right now - the ability to mark any constituent as a solicitor without them having a user account. Every organization I have worked with (probably close to 100 at this point) has needed to mark non-users as constituents. If this functionality is not moved to webview, it will compromise many years of work for your customers.
