ALL RECEIPTING CAPABILITIES IN DATABASE VIEW SHOULD BE AVAILABLE IN WEBVIEW

In database view, there are more merge fields available for receipting that are not in webview:

  • notes for stock gifts, gift in kind details, split gifts, gift advantage details

  • receipt amount AND gift amount (this is needed for when there is a gift advantage)

We also should be able to receipt outside of NXT in a word document as we currently can in database view and choose the paper size (legal or letter).

We shouldn't have to beg for the same functionality that we have in database view to be available in webview.

This is my first time receipting in kind gifts soon. I was all content thinking I could receipt them using the Receipts tab.

then my heartbreak reading about what you’re saying, those missing fields.

i’m alway hoping to stay away from database view as much as I can b/c it’s a clunky relic. But i’ll have to use it again :(

Agreed. I'd love to see the process for printing acknowledgement letters brought into web view and streamlined. We have multiple templates we use depending on donor activity and I'd really like to be able to have an easier time generating letters. We should be able to export a file into MS Word of all letter that need acknowledgement with templates that pull based on Gift Letter Code.

I think the final statement says it all. My office is purchasing third party software to do what Raiser's Edge USED to do until 2022. (Merge receipts nicely into Word.) Not all (even online donors!) like e-receipts. In fact, I often get requests from donors for second receipts because the e-receipt went missing.
Studies actually show that even Gen Z donors like receiving paper acknowledgement in the mail. So for orgs who have donors who are VERY mail-centric, like an org I previously worked at (rural, very limited internet and computer use) what are they supposed to do?
