Ability to build custom reports in RENXT as were able to do in RE w/crystal reports

It would be very useful to be able to build and save a custom report in NXT. We often use fields not available in preset reports or need to exclude fields we don’t need.

    I agree.

    The RE custom report feature still has all original functionality if you purchase your own copy of Crystal Reports XI R2 which matches the runtime in RE. The integrated approach originally designed by Blackbaud dramatically simplifies the novice user experience.

    Since it appears RE:NXT is slated to have exports duplicating existing true tree-format MDB exports, this functionality could be duplicated in RE:NXT with an add-on fee for using the runtime with four options: Crystal Reports XI R2, Crystal Reports 2016, 2020 and 2025. Developers would purchase their own development copy, and link a query/export with their program just as it is done in RE. Highly recommended!
