Insights allow filtering by last x months/years, etc. This is great when wanting to identify action in past 24 months, for example. List and queries restrict me to "Equal or greater than Last Calendar year," covering a uncertain period from 13-24 months -- or specifying a specific date which must be changed each time the query is run.
