Frontline staff and operations/advancement services staff use NXT in different ways, and confusion can result when frontline staff see (for example) status and action types that are not applicable to them. As database admins, we'd like to be able to remove some of the clutter for DOs, hiding options that frontline staff shouldn't be using--improving their user experience while sparing us the effort of "catching" perpetual missteps.
A classic example of this would be Gifts Received, as at many organizations operations staff are the only individuals authorized to truly indicate that a gift has cleared. We're evaluating renaming some of these options to make the user type more obvious, but even our best efforts are unlikely to totally change behavior.
