Integrate RENXT Queries as Sources for Building Insights

Integrating query with the insight builder would be a game changer by providing greater control over the data included as well as making the insight builder more of a BI experience. Ideally this integration would manifest as the ability to use a query as the data source for an insight as well as being able to use the query output fields as facts, attributes, and metrics. One of the biggest challenges I run into that prevents me from using the insight and dashboard builder is being unable to filter down to the data I actually want to include due to the limited and somewhat obtuse fields available in the insight builder. I run into a similar problem when I try to construct insights as well. Being able to build, analyze, and share visuals like this natively in RENXT would exponentially increase value we can get out of it. Furthermore, if it isn't already planned, the visuals made possible by this integration would open up uses of the upcoming Blackbaud Copilot by providing insight building advice based on prompts, identifying trends or other analysis based on an insight, or perhaps even suggesting changes to the query being used to populate the insight.

It would be nice to have an insight tile that isn't connected to the page filters, but allows you to return the results of a specific query. The tile would show those results. If that's not possible, it would be nice to have an insights tile like the favorite query tile available on the customized homepage. That way, the Dashboard can include links to queries that generate data pertinent to that dashboard topic. For example, we have a Dashboard with insights pertaining to our Annual Fund campaign. We also have queries and lists built to track parent and board participation that display more information than is available drilling down into the available insights. It would be nice to be able to access those lists and queries from the NXT Dashboard without having to navigate to queries, lists or the homepage favorite queries tile.

Yes, we are able to pull queries into the dashboards in database view, and I use queries in dashboards all the time. When we have a campaign or appeal out, it makes it really easy to view how things are going when we have the ability to pull in queries to the dashboard insights. I really miss not having this feature in Web View.
