This has been an issue in db view already. Really hope this is patched in web view!

Alias is a heavily used field, and this functionality is key.

it would help to get rid of thousands of Luminate IDs too after Luminate Online is turned off or any other old legacy ID kept on file during conversions but useless later!

It would be really wonderful as Unified View is developed if the ability to globally delete alias was added as functionality. Many organizations use it to store Student ID, Employee ID, or other unique ids from other systems. We need the ability to manage aliases easily and efficiently to maintain accuracy across systems
