Currently the "Add Individual" form doesn't allow users to add additional name formats; they can only add primary name formats.
Many organizations' data entry policies require all individuals within their database to have additional name formats besides the primary name formats. Since this is a requirement for many organizations, constituent data entry through web view is less efficient and user-friendly when compared to constituent data entry in the database view.
Database view allows users to add any desired name format when adding the constituent record:
Click "New Individual"
Fill out the required fields in the record
Click the "Addressee/Salutations" tab
Navigate to the "Additional Addressees and Salutations" tile
Enter your desired addressee/salutation type(s) and format(s)
Click "Save" or "Save and Close"
Web view only allows users to add the primary name formats and if they want to add additional name formats, they have to do the following:
Click "Add a constituent"
Select "Individual"
Fill out the "Add Individual" form
Click "Save" in the "Add Individual" form
You are redirected to the new constituent record
Click "Edit" in the "Constituent Summary" tile
Select "Name Formats"
Click "Add a name format"
Add your desired name format type(s) and format(s)
Click "Save"
This is even more time-consuming when creating new constituent records when reviewing donors in Online Data Review and when adding gifts via Gift Management:

Navigate to the gift batch where the donor's transaction was downloaded (or search for and navigate to the constituent record)
Click "Edit" in the "Constituent Summary" tile

Click "Add a name format"
Add your desired name format type(s) and format(s)
Click "Save"
Adding constituents via Gift Management
In the "Add Gift" form, click into the "Constituent" field
Click "New"
Select "Individual"
Fill out the "Add Individual" form
Click "Save in the "Add Individual" form
Click "Save and close"
In the batch entry grid, click on the constituent's name
Click "Edit" in the "Constituent Summary" tile
Select "Name Formats"
Click "Add a name format"
Add your desired name format type(s) and format(s)
Click "Save"
The need for an efficient constituent record creation workflow that complies with organizations' data entry policies is important; especially when performing gift processing tasks in the web view. The current user experience not only slow, but is also increasing the risk of users not entering additional name formats that are mandatory data entry within organizations because:
They're not presented with the capability to enter additional name formats when adding the constituent record
You can't configure Raiser's Edge business rules to require additional name formats when adding/editing constituent records
Users forget to perform the additional steps to add the additional name formats to the new constituent record after the constituent record has been created
