Search Constituent ID Before Alias

When searching for a constituent by ID, NXT first looks at the alias field and then at the constituent ID field, which means often the constituent you want does not come up and you have to search by their name. It should be looking at the constituent ID field before anything else.

This continues to be a problem, especially when trying to do merges, as the system will only show a few records that match the digits you put in. If there are a lot of aliases, using those digits, the correct record does not come up unless you search by donor name -- which is a big problem when there are many donors with same name.

So that's why this is happening! Yes, I second this! For constituents with both a common name and a Constituent ID with only a few numeric characters (a scenario I've encountered a few times already), it's very difficult to find the correct record. You can find the person in a plain Constituent search from the home search bar if you hit 'Enter' after searching, b/c then it shows the Constituent ID for all matches. However, if you're trying to pull such a person into a relationship, that search bar doesn't allow for this functionality. All you can do is search by name or Constituent ID, both of which may sometimes pull up too many matches.
