Fund Code ID & Description Global Update
The Fund Code ID & Description Global Update would be useful because it would streamline the process of managing and updating fund codes across the system. Currently, the absence of this feature means that updates have to be made manually for each individual entry, which can be time-consuming and prone to error.
By implementing this global update feature, users will be able to update fund codes and their descriptions more efficiently across the entire system, ensuring consistency and accuracy. It will save time for staff, reduce manual errors, and make reporting and analysis more seamless. Additionally, it will enhance the user experience by providing a more intuitive and efficient way to manage fund codes in Raiser’s Edge.

Having the ability to globally update the gift date or apply “Do Not Receipt” or “Do Not Acknowledge” to all gifts within a batch would be a helpful feature that would make the process more efficient.
The new grid batch experience is a great step forward, but one gap we’re running into is the lack of a “global change” option for batch columns, similar to what’s available in database view.
For example, when we apply a template to an existing RENXT donation form batch (thank you for adding that capability), the Gift Subtype defined in the template does not update existing gifts already in the batch. Being able to apply that change globally would save significant time.
Another use case is related to incentive-based appeals. Currently, donation forms don’t allow us to capture an incentive/benefit value or receipt amount. As a result, we need a way to globally update the receipt amount for those gifts once they’re in the batch.
Adding a global update capability would make batch processing much more efficient and help bridge some of these gaps in the current workflow.
Are you saying that in NXT if you change a fund description in the "fund record" then that name change is not automatically globally changed on all existing gift records? Does the same thing apply for campaign description changes?
