OR we should at least be receiving a copy of what the donor receives as a receipt since they're able to see the custom fields they filled out (for example, T-Shirt Size). If we're collecting custom fields, we need to be able to see that information in our donation notifications.
Never mind my 28 Jul 07:10pm comment; gift processors were confusing Fundraiser Credit field with Custom Field which is where they need to look for the data. (Man I wish I could edit/delete that comment entirely!)
Donation form notifications now include any custom field responses included in the form!
This is especially helpful when custom fields might be helpful but not required - donors often intend to include one and don't realize they missed it, so follow-up would be faster if it was included in our copy of the email.
This is actually one of the most maddening things about webview. We need a copy of exactly what the donor received to satisfy our auditors.
It's an option in Online Express - for simple parity it should be available in Online Giving forms as well. If I'm able to add it to a form (which I was) then you should deliver any data entered in that field when sending the email notification.
Absolutely agree! On our previous platform, we as admins received the exact copy of the gift confirmation email that the donor received... which is helpful if they ever ask for it again. It should be easy enough to set up so that the admins are copied on that.
I agree that we should be able to opt in to receiving a copy of what the donor receives, like we can with OLX. Getting the bare bones email receipt is not as useful as receiving what the donor receives because at the very least we can confirm it is looking like we want it to. Being able to toggle it on and off would be great.
