I'm trying to do table cleanup on Majors/Minors. We have plan codes that are associated with those codes in the Comment field. When I run a query looking for one of those comment fields, I need to see if there are different major/minor names being associated with that comment (aka academic plan). Otherwise I need to export the whole list and then remove dups when it was likely I could find them just by scrolling or using first last options in db view query.
Often the purpose of query is to spot check records. Or, there is the need in a query to ensure the query has been written correctly, to randomly look at records that are in it to make sure the results are what were expected. With or without a sort applied, only looking at the first few records isn't very good spot checking or being very "random." For years I have looked at a few records at the begining, clicked on the Last button and looked at a few records at the end, and by going to the end in db view it made scrolling back to the middle or other places in the list possible. This current web view approach of load a few records, then force it load a few more, then force it load a few more, etc., just isn't working to be able to randomly select records throughout the file to ensure there are no surprises. Please allow for better and faster jumping around in a query results, including adding a Last button. Thanks!
