We are currently unable to add a Gift Aid declaration that overlaps with an existing declaration that has an end date.

e.g. if someone makes a donation on 1st December 2024 and at the time makes a one-off GAD for that particular gift, then this gets entered as a declaration that starts on 1st December and would end the day after on the 2nd.

We have GAD forms that allow our supporters to indicate that we may claim GA on donation made in the past 4 years (and a similar form is available on HMRC website). If this supporter fills out this GAD form today, the declaration in RE should start on 6th April 2020 - however RE NXT web view does not allow this to be added because of the existing declaration that has an end date. We can't delete the existing one, because that is a valid declaration that will have been used to claim Gift Aid - however we are not able to add this new declaration which is also valid because that previous one is on the record already.

Please allow overlapping Gift Aid declarations.
