We have changed a few of the fields that we normally wouldn't use in the database view to be more useful. One instance is instead of the religion field on Bio2 we track where the constituent came from (i.e. attend an event, signed up for the newsletter...). Actually I'm not even sure where this field is in NXT. Another change we've made is to make the field of Spouse say Partner. But these changes aren't carried over into NXT. It would be nice to not have to create a list using a filter that doesn't really correspond with the information we're trying to get. This could be confusing for people.
Hi, we are currently grappling with this and I don't see any recent developments. We have for a long time used "Religion" and "Church/Syn" as two of our custom Bio2 tab fields. It is extremely important for our particular organization that these two pieces of critical information migrate over to NXT. (The alternative would be having to manually re-enter all of this info). Any updates on whether or not eventually this information will appear someplace in NXT?
Allowing customized fields in NXT would be very helpful. Thank you!
Agree - I have users that track information in the BIO2 tab, that are not Constituent Codes. We would like this information to be available in NXT view to update/
Absolutely agree with this and was just testing it earlier today. We don't necessarily have fields that are renamed, but we were looking in to it. Now I can cross that off the list (grudgingly) as an option.
I agree with this 100%. However, if I understand correctly, the platform for NXT or the way it works in a cloud-based system means that you can't edit the labels on some fields like you can in RE:7. I know there are those who recommend that you never repurpose a field, but if the org has no reason to use it for it's intended purpose, it's rather handy to have a first class field available for something that is highly useful (as in the case of the Religion field for your organization).
If it can be possible to edit labels on first class fields, I hope we get that in NXT.
