We use the Online Express eConfirmations extensively to see what is coming in during our big telethons and have a MS Outlook rules to show file the gifts into the correct folders. This allows us to see the large gifts before any approvals/committing/gift management is done. NXT donation forms will not allow us to send a copy of the eConfirmation to ourselves.
I have been avoiding NXT donation forms for many reasons, this being one of them. We have to provide acknowledge letters for a sample of donations for our audit. With OLX I receive those email copies so can provide them to the auditors. Not sure I'll be able to move to NXT forms if I can't receive those email copies.
We want to see what the donor is seeing, just like OLX. This has saved us numerous times to fix quality control issues like typos, etc.
Agreed with "But we want to see an exact copy of what the donor is receiving, just like we receive in Online Express."
Seeing what the donor sees ensure quality control that the communications are displaying as intended and also can clarify questions we receive from donors.
But we want to see an exact copy of what the donor is receiving, just like we receive in Online Express.
Thanks for your submission! In both the Standard and Optimized Donation Forms, when setting up the form on the Confirmations tab, there is an option to send Notifications. This sends an email with the transaction info to any email address you specify, and was intended for the use case you described.
The internal notification is NOT an exact copy but includes the fields the donor entered on the form.
