When you click "work with gifts" on a donor record's gifts tile, you should be able to "add a gift" from the subsequent "Gifts for..." page.

It's good practice to check the detailed giving history for patterns before entering a gift, but this is discouraged when clicking "work with gifts" means having to go backward to do your gift entry
