Create the ability to use fiscal year instead of calendar year for donor retention, acquisition, and recapture reports
The stats per organization are much more useful in looking at their own fiscal year alongside organizational calendar and development plan (to align with budget and other reporting metrics as well).
All of these sections of the Reporting menu are useless to us as they are now. We only report based on fiscal year. I really want to be able to use these tools because they would really help track the health of our Annual Fund but without the ability to compare fiscal years I cannot use them. Is there any progress on this issue, I see that this suggestion has been open for 7 years.
I don't understand how this can still be unresolved. What use in running this data in January... I need to see how last year performed...??? Why do we have to vote for this sort of basic functionality?
I totally agree with Donna that it would be nice to add our own date range for Retention, Analyze, Acquisition, etc. so we can report, benchmark and compare different date ranges over time.
This is really key for me! I've been looking forward to using the retention dashboards in NXT, but it does squat if I can't calculate retention by FY. I get that Calendar Year is good for benchmarking, but it isn't necessarily helpful for managing your program.

It would be nice to be able to add our own date range and have the stats update for the range.
Those reports work on the Fiscal Year as defined in the database view: Configuration > General

Yes, thank you! We report by fiscal year. For everything. Retention, acquisition and recapture reports don't help when our budgets are by fiscal year.
