Once again this is only partially true in the minds of the developers but not the real world. What is needed is the option the �PAY LATER� as in not needing a credit card or Bank account to complete the PLEDGE as it is in Database View. The so called pledge in NXT is only a Recurring with an end date not a TRUE PLEDGE. This is what keeps from using the NXT Batch for daily processing, Last week in our semi annual fundraiser in 4 days we had a total of 576 real pledges for a total of $257,104 and you are telling us we just should not need that!!! We have paid over $1 million to BlackBaud in the last 18 years and were very happy with Database and have been constantly been told that everything in DB would be in NXT hogwash!
There may be someday all the functions but certainly the functionality. This is the reason we will be leaving if not corrected and I think others will also. Don�t just keep telling us it already exists because it doesn�t - PLEASE GET IT FIXED .

@wporter Please create a separate idea for the pledge length. We originally capped at 5 years based on customer feedback via surveys...I'd love to get voting specifically on adding to a 10 year max that you're requesting. Thanks!

The recent update to the Online Giving Form was great for pledges. Now it would be great to have the choice of recurring gifts and pledges for more than 5 years. Is there a way to not put a limitation on the years and leave it open and control by user?

The Online Giving form has limitation when it comes to the length of pledges. It would be great if the form could be customized to be able to set up multi gift options such as recurring gifts and pledge up to 10 years or more. Recently, using Oline Express in database view has proven not to be ideal to process pledges automatically as well as some other initial issues resolved through many supports assistance.

Today, when an online donation comes in that is matched to an existing constituent with an open pledge, batch will alert the admin that the constituent has a potential pledge that you can apply the donation to. This happens without any indicator from the donor on the online form.

You could also add a custom field to our Standard form asking the donor if this is a payment on a pledge if you're looking for an indicator to the admin that the donor expects this to pay off their pledge.

What additional functionality would you expect a system checkbox for a pledge payment indicator to do? Would you want it to automatically apply the gift to the pledge, or do you still want to review/approve that the payment towards the pledge?

We created a hidden (link only) form for pledge payments. No levels shown. and the comment area asks for invoice #. so we know when a payment comes via that form, it's for an existing pledge.

This would be really helpful to my school as many of our donors give via donor advised funds, but would like to be able to quickly respond to email soliciations.
