Add the GL Post Batch Number to gifts as a custom field or note when gifts are posted

The business office is often looking at past postings and they ask for the Batch number and it is not always easy to find for either the business office or the advancement office. It would also be helpful for the business office when reconciling to RE. The field could then be exported.

    It would be extremely helpful if RE stored the FE batch number that is created. We recently experienced a cyber event that resulted in a loss of data. It was extremely hard to go into RE and figure out which reports to reprint or what gifts to pull to match the unposted batched in FE. The FE batch number should be stored in a way that it can be pulled in a query or report. It will also help to reconcile donations, pledges, etc. on a regular basis. It would also help in those instances when the connection gets dropped, which happens occasionally.

    I like this idea especially for gifts I have to adjust to zero and then reenter but want that gift to be in the same batch number. I could enter the custom field and then be able to report on batches with that gift included.
