Populate merge field "Preferred Name" with First Name if no nickname is available.

in sending emails, this allows us to use nicknames for those who have them, but not sending emails to "BLANK" for those without a nickname.

    Blackbaud an you merge these so the votes are counted accurately?

    Yes. Other software has the option to merge "SMART NAME" which will pull 1. Nickname then if no nickname 2. First Name, then if no First name 3. Full Name.

    In RENXT give us the option to pull from the "other name formats". The "other name format" field in the classic view is the "Addressee/Salutation" tab. The addressee/salutation tab in classic view allows you to create numerous options. We currently have seven options (Name Tag, Individual Informal Salutation, Individual Formal Salutation, Individual Addressee, Joint Informal Salutation, Joint Formal Salutation, and Joint Addressee).
