NXT: Event module - online registration form - custom fields and attributes missing
I have been working in the new online registration form which has appeared in NXT Event module, and it looks great. I've been waiting for a while for this to appear in NXT so thank you.
The only issue I've come across so far which will unfortunately stop me from using it, is there are no options to create custom fields and attributes on the form. You can do this in DB view, Online Express. We use this feature all the time to capture important participant data (insights) which allows us to plan appropriate communication and set-up their stewardship journey.
If you could add this to your road map to ensure this feature is added in the near future I'd truly be grateful. I'm sure other organisations would benefit from this feature too.

Participant custom fields is still very much needed. The Participant options really doesn't serve the same function for us, and lacking those custom fields in the way that we have them in Database view is causing signification issues and delays when we enter our event data.
Especially because we cannot only access the Participant options in a query or export, which means that any analysis or review we are doing on Event Participants has to be done on a single Event by Event participant list level which is a significant pain point for our organization given the large number of events we do.
It would be really helpful to add custom fields to individual records (Relationships, Education, etc). One of the uses we have is to update job titles, but at the moment they need to be imported
I agree with some of the comments, this does not exist, it is not the same, we need access to the Attributes (custom fields) that we have on database view
Hello Hayley, you can create Participant Options on an Event today and display those Participant Options on an Registration Form. Participant Options can also be used for by internal staff to track additional, custom information and not be published on the form as well. The Participant Options will display on the Participants List as a column and can be filtered on.
For events with food we always ask them to provide food allergies using a custom field. This is needed to prevent mishaps.
Sometimes we need to collect information that is directly related to the overall transaction or the payor and should not be tied to the participant record. To support this, it would be helpful to have a Gift Custom Field that links specifically to the payment record. Additionally, having a Constituent Custom Field that connects to the host's constituent record would be beneficial for capturing relevant data without intermixing it with participant details.
It's very difficult to work with the event participant fields when they are not available in query. I'm working with a University that uses participant custom fields to confirm graduation year and I want to be able to query on the user submitted year from the event and compare it to the year on the ed relationship. Currently, it's a cumbersome task to accomplish with query, VLOOKUP, etc.
Please make deleting gifts available in RENXT.
This would be super helpful - please implement this (I don't understand why Participant options have been created in NXT rather than using Participant Attributes/ Custom Fields which would link with Database View).
