I see that you can now add a fundraiser & goal to an appeal, campaign, or fund. This is great for someone in an annual fund role or those tied to only one fund, campaign, or appeal. What we're finding is lacking in this area is the ability to track each Major Gift Officer's fundraising goal & the progress being made toward that goal in real time--regardless of the campaign, fund, or appeal. Currently, that information, along with other performance metrics, is housed outside of NXT in a spreadsheet at our organization. We would like to see the ability to add a total goal for each gift officer and track progress based on the gift solicitor named on gifts with the ability to manually add credit if there is a special case of joint credit or something else. Perhaps in the work center area?
I 100% agree with this. Our major gift officers raise a certain % of our annual fund revenue across shared appeal strategies. Without this feature, there is no way to show these solicitor's the progress towards their fundraising goal. It's really disappointing that this feature has not been rolled out yet.
This is essential to NXT's platform as a productive tool for frontline fundraising. Creating goals just by fund or campaign does not give a full picture of a gift officer's work. For example, can we set action goals (# of visits/phone calls/emails), goals by gift type (i.e. planned gift, pledge, outright gift), maybe even goals by membership (new, recaptured). I know a lot of work must go into this, but since so many fundraisers are scored based on # of visits in addition to dollars raised, this would be hugely helpful in web view.
It would also be great if you could include a data range and not just filter by Campaign, Fund, Category, Other. We have a multi-year campaign but only want to look at a solicitor/fund raiser's goal for each year. If I'm only entering a goal for the campaign it looks at all gifts to the campaign that the solicitor/fund raiser has been added to as receiving credit for soliciting that gift.
We would also like to be able to track first time visits, total visits and opportunity ask amounts. This would be incredibly helpful.
This would be awesome to track the progress of my board members, employee council and golf committee.
Additionally, the ability to be able to restrict viewing of each goal would be helpful to alleviate competitiveness among gift officers.
