RENXT needs to show address attributes when viewing address details. To streamline which address is used for certain types of mailings and effectively use the database view Mail feature, we use address attributes to filter mailings.
Even if those custom field/attributes can't be edited in RENXT, the fundraisers and data administrators both need to be able to see that mailing attribute information for context into why there might be multiple active mailing addresses on a record.
Just appending this idea: when I first requested it, I did not know there was an end date set for database view. Since there is, I'd like to revise the idea in that there must be an option to add/edit the address attributes in web view... preferably a specific security role option.
This is a must for us. This is how we track returned mail.
I agree with all the comments. We save our ncoa and additional information about solicit codes in those attributes. We also use the "info source" to tell us where the data came and from. Hope they transfer to RENXT and can be added there as well. Thanks, Sharon
I'm just realizing how much data I will lose without the attributes coming over! Data about individual addresses really should stay on the record of that address. Many organizations, for the sake of data hygiene, save old addresses with to/from dates, and any info relating to that address belongs with the address record, not the constituent at large. That would be so unwieldy!
Very important!
We use address attributes for multiple purposes and they REALLY need to be visible and editable in web view.
