We need an alert for recent subsequent donations of the same amount to the same donor.

For example, if a $55,000 gift is added to a record 1-3-2023 and a user attempts to add another gift for $55,000 1-12-2023 to the same record, we need a real-time, in-process alert that will notify the user adding the second gift that a gift of the same amount was added to the same record only 9 days prior.

This is a great idea. We have recently received what appeared to be duplicate gifts from two different donors. We didn't catch the possible dups until our staff had prepared acknowledgement letters. So a deeper dive ensued. When we reviewed them a little more closely, and spoke with one of the donors, it turns out that one was indeed a dup and the other was intentional. But a system-generated heads-up as the gift was being entered would have been very helpful.
