Some of the columns NXT requires are not necessary for donors, and may even cause confusion. For instance, a donor who has not entered into a formal recurring gift program may have set up a monthly donation through their checking account. Their receipt will show 'one time gift' for what they think of as a recurring gift. Being able to select some fields (obviously amount and date must be there) would clean up those forms.
