Ability to merge duplicate participant records in ReNXT events

A duplicate record or Guest of record is created when the information submitted in the event registration form doesn't match their constituent record. I can't change the Guest record because that participant (who is a constituent) is already on the list. I have to delete one record and update the guest record so it is associated with the actual constituent. I've used other event registration software where you can select two participant records and "merge" them. Similar to duplicate management, but specific to events.

This is an issue for our foundation as well. We had a golf tournament that people bought tickets for and then a form for them to seperately purchase mulligans. This separate form caused multiple constituents to be created, and it has been such a hassle to merge them due to these event participations. From gifts linked, participant options, being a host or a guest. This is a major issue and the fact that we can't easily merge constituents that are connected to specific events is really not intuitive at all.

We really need the ability to merge duplicate participant records to the same event in RENXT web view. The current workarounds are less than ideal.

The steps to remove the event registration and connect it to the master record are tedious and they are prone to data disintegration. So the system needs to be able to merge the event participation automatically so the data is clean and correct. I love this idea! Thanks for submitting it.

This should be able to be done whether or not the person is a guest or a host or just a single registration.
