RE NXT Gift Management: Allow gifts to be saved after appeal/campaign end date.

RE NXT does not allow a user to save gifts with a gift date after an Appeal has ended. Online Express allowed users to do this, so this feels like a step backward in RE NXT.


We commonly receive a handful of donations well after a given Appeal has officially ended. Currently, the only solution is to deliberately enter an incorrect end date for any Appeal that receives late gifts. I would like to be able to save a gift to an Appeal after that Appeal has ended.

    I am adding my vote to this idea!

    My current workaround is to leave the appeal blank in NXT gift entry, then enter it in DBV after I have committed the batch.

    I do not want to change the dates on appeals.

    I cannot control our lovely donors who hold onto our replies for however many years and then finally make a donation. I think these gifts SHOULD be coded with the correct appeal. I think all database iterations SHOULD allow for this.
