in the past, the only way to have an Action be in both records, if spouse/partner had a separate but connected record, was to copy the data on the initial one and paste it into an Action on the other record. It would be so helpful if functionality could be added to RENXT so that when you set up an Action or a Proposal/Opportunity on a record that has a connected separate spouse record, if the system would ask if you want to share or copy the Action/Proposal/Opportunity with the spouse/partner record. In doing this, the initial Action/Proposal only feed reports for the Head of Household so that there would not be duplicate counting for Proposals/Opportunities.
This would be a huge time saver for something that now requires duplicate work.
Another option I heard of from someone who has experience with a different CRM was one household record (she called it "household constituency"). That way, there only ever is one Action that refers to the family, and it would be more clear to users if a family is less traditional and, for example, spouses make totally independent decisions from each other.
This is definitely needed especially for Major Gift conversations. For big gifts, there is usually more than one decision maker. Being able to link actions/opportunities to multiple people would be able to give a greater view of history when looking at any constituent. Certain fundraising systems already do this, RENXT should as well.
It would be very helpful to be able to share any action with another person. Similar to a soft-credit function in gift. Many actions involve multiple records, so it would be helpful to be able to add it to multiple records, but it can still be counted as one action.
