In opportunities, add field(s) for expected payment schedule

I pull a detailed report of opportunities in order to see and assess the fundraising pipeline (how many opportunities are we going after? what is the total ask amount and total expected amount across all opportunities in the pipeline, in solicitation, etc?). But, currently I cannot distinguish this year's "expected amount" from that of future years, which I need to be able to do (in order to forecast our revenue by year).


For example, currently when a fundraiser is pursuing a grant opportunity for $1.2M (to be paid in annual installments across three years), we create an opportunity in RE with an ask amount of $1.2M. When we submit the grant application to the prospective donor, we set the probability at 50% and the expected revenue at $600K. But when I pull a report to assess our pipeline and forecast our revenue, I need to be able to see that the expected revenue is spread across three years (as the grant would be paid in three installments).


My suggested solution is to add fields (within the opportunity) to reflect a payment schedule. So, in the example I described above (for a $1.2M grant paid in three annual installments), it could look like this:

Ask Amount:

--Total: $1.2M

--Installment 1: $400K

--Installment 2: $400K

--Installment 3: $400K

Expected Amount:

--Total: $600K

--Installment 1: $200K

--Installment 2: $200K

--Installment 3: $200K

--Total Pledge: August 31, 2022

--Installment 1 Payment: December 31, 2022

--Installment 2 Payment: December 31, 2023

--Installment 3 Payment: December 31, 2023
