Stop making a primary / preferred address required in NXT and Database view

We have some constituents who have moved leaving no forwarding address and some deceased with no address. I want to delete the old address in the Contact Information section. When deleting an address in NXT, I get a message, "At least one preferred address is required". I have it not required in Config > Address in Database view. Both views will not let me delete and require a primary address.

I went into every record with no valid address in Database view and deleted all the individual address fields. The system would not let me save it without having something there so I left the address type. We need to be able to save records that do not have an address.

    Agreed! Our staff uses all kinds of queries for large mailings that rely too much on "has no valid address," and that look for "primary address line one not blank." We need these historical addresses, but we need to be able to UN-MARK an old address as primary even if it is all we have !!
