When two people are related as spouses, gifts should be soft-credited.

I'm currently going through and establishing missing spouse relationships to over 1,000 constituents in my system. In addition to establishing the spouse relationships themselves, I am having to go through and soft credit all gifts. When two individuals are related as spouses, RENXT should automatically soft credit all gifts between them.

    This is so important when a person dies and you give the surviving spouse their own record to be able to automatically soft credit the surviving spouse for all past gifts.

    Yes, and in NXT is should also be easy to break the soft-credit link between spouses. Whether adding or breaking soft-crediting, it should be reciprocal---we should not have to Constituent > Relationships > (find Spouse) > Edit Relationship > Automatically soft credit this individual for gifts ON BOTH SPOUSE'S RECORDS!

    Allow the ability in web view to Soft Credit for Spouses Gifts as you can in Data Base view as seen in the Constituent menu>Soft Credit for Spouse's Gifts

    This would be nice to do in NXT without needing to open database view to do so.

    Agreed. As well as the ability to retroactively soft credit all past gifts like in DBV from the constituent menu>Soft Credit for Spouse's Gifts...
