Add Constituent ID as a Merge Field in Marketing Emails

Since we've started making more use of emails to communicate to our donors, a lot of them have complained that their constituent ID / Supporter Number is not shown in the email communication. In our paper communications, the constituent ID is always shown in the letter or newsletter.


Is it possible to add Constituent ID as one of the Merge fields in Email Marketing?

    Constituent ID merge field would be a dream as we do some surveys and voting forms that require this ID in order to access the form as you must be an alumni and this is one of the checks put in place to give access to the survey/voting forms. If we can't merge this field into a marketing email to a targeted alumni base, then it means we have to straddle between two mailing systems.
