You should be able to create a list of deceased individuals in the web-based view. Currently you can only run a query in the database view for deceased individuals. The webview should include a Deceased Date so that lists can be generated for those constituents that are deceased. This is important for condolence cards, planned giving stewardship/follow-up and to streamline the functionalities between the database view and web view. Deceased constituents could have their own field or column to reflect their status.
We need this for planned giving purposes. I want to be able to create a list of anyone who is currently in our Legacy Society who is also deceased. This confluence of tags would ideally kick off a workflow that would assigned an action to our planned giving officer to follow up with the estate and clean up the record as needed. The current 'deceased' filter doesn't allow for this functionality though.
