Currently, when you build a list in Blackbaud NXT or transfer a list from Database view to NXT, the list cannot be exported with the following columns:

1. A column just showing class year (this applies for any constituent group - alumni, parents, grandparents)

2. Separate columns for first and last name

This results in the export being somewhat useless, as we cannot sort the data to quickly access two important details about our constituents easily (last name, class year). In education, so much of what we do is based on the class year that a constituent is associated with, and it seems silly that an export our of NXT would not allow us to meet this need. As a result, we are forced to build this lists as Queries in DB view because that is the only view that can export the information in a usable format. BBNXT was marketed as a solution that works seamlessly with our existing REDB database - but it cannot even export information in the same format. This is a problem that needs to be a fixed - not an idea.
