Most of our analysis is done at the appeal/package level. As an example, when we send our End of Year Appeal, it gets broken out into major donors, new donors, step-up appeal, lapsed donors, etc. When we look at our appeal to judge success, much of that is at the package level. Right now, packages are basically absent from the analyze section of NXT. I don't think it needs it's own analyze: package section, but if the analyze: appeals could have a few features added around packages, that would be great. A few ideas to get started:
Great idea! Thanks for your patience.
With the new Dashboard Builder experience, we have a canned or "out of the box" insight that can report off of package giving. You can also add a filter to the dashboard, based off of package fields like: Category, Short Description, Long Description, and Active Status.
As we continue our waved roll outs, many customers are already using this dashboard builder. I'm going to mark this as Planned for now. When we are officially at General Availability (GA), I'll mark this idea as Shipped.
I don't see where this has been fixed. I'm on the Webview, on the appeal record. There are all kinds of great tiles for "Gifts by giving level", "Top donors" etc. But on the "Packages" tile it only shows me the overall goal and #of recipients. I wish it would show me the number of donors and total given by package.
The analysis in dashboards seems to be missing a key piece of information: # solicited and # responded. We still use the simple table in appeals summary because lacking # solicited can make one piece of direct mail appear to have an incredible response when it really just went to double the amount of recipients.
This has been our absolute biggest frustration with database view. Why have it as an option, if we can't analyze it the same way as Appeal?!?!? If we put information in a database, we should easily be able to pull the information out.
Please! This suggestion was made two years ago, and it's still not implemented. Why have a package if we cannot analyze it's performance?
I agree with all these points! The ability to filter by package is missing from gift lists as well. This is really needed!
