Report Builder "Donors by lifecycle status", count soft credits and ability to filter by Head of Household
We would love to utilize the "Donors by lifecycle status" insight, but the inability for it to consider soft credits as a gift is rendering it useless. We have donors who always give through a DAF or corporation and will always be soft credited, so they do not show properly in this insight. Further, we would also find it useful if we could filter by Head of Household, as we currently have spouses showing up in different categories due to the hard/soft credit issue.

The Donors by lifecycle status needs some more customization to improve its usefulness. Soft credits oftentimes do reflect the true donor, especially for DAF and spouse-giving. This also impacts tags, as they are entirely outside of our control and render them useless (and therefore ignored by fundraisers). Data that doesn't make sense to fundraisers gets ignored. I have yet to find a fundraiser who pays any attention to the tags that display so prominently in their work center.
I do not see any comments on this since 2020. Does anyone consider a constituent whose spouse gave a gift recently to be a lapsed donor? How is this useful tracking that is for a "donor lifecyle report".
This would be extremely helpful. As it is now, donors who give through foundations/organizations are labeled as lost or lapsed.
