When constituents are added via an online donation form, no Primary Addressee nor Primary Salutation formulas are selected. Having defaults set for these fields, like is done in the database view, would eliminate the need run periodic maintenance queries/changes to clean-up this situation.

Yes!! I just contacted RE about this as well. This is my feedback to them also.
This should also apply to creating new constituent records in web view batches. And the ability to not only add the Primary, but we also use additional Household Addressee/Salutations so Primary is formatted to Canadian tax receipting standards, but Household is set the the donor's preference (e.g. addressed to both spouses or "The Smith Family"). We load defaults all the time in database view and this is one of the functions that deters me from using web view.

I agree, this has been tedious when printing thank you notes. This would be great for new donors added via nxt donation forms.
I would hope that this feature would not edit existing addressees/salutations if the donation is linked to an existing record, so that way it doesn't affect nicknames/spouse preferences.
