Update Event permissions to include 'View Only' options

As of now, giving access to "Manage Participants" allows you to view and edit them. I think it would be best if there was a option to make it so that you could choose whether or not someone has access to view and/or edit participants.

    Hi Keri & Samantha,

Thanks for pointing this out. I agree with Keri, this isn't very obvious but I guess for me I'm still getting used to role based security. When you go to edit the role it almost seems like you have to choose Manage Events and/or Manage participants and that's it.

    Thanks Keri for responding!

@Charlene, Keri is correct - if you open up the "Show permissions" option you will get more granular options that allow you to include View only access. Give that a try and let me know if that works out for what you need.

Charlene, I tested this and gave my fundraiser access account permission to View Only both events and participants. With that account, I can see the participants and event detail, but not change anything. Instead of checking the "manage participants" box, click on "show permissions" - this will let you access the individual settings.

It would be great if it was more obvious that there's a way to allow view only! That "show permissions" thing is confusing and I've been using this new Roles-based permissions tool for over a year now.
