Our organization would like to be able to distinguish better our social media connections with constituents. We like being able to edit/choose our type so we can use say a meeting request, but social media connections are becoming a bigger connection piece for us. When we don't have email, mail or phone we are using social media to try to make connections and would like to be better able to track this work.
This was started in 2019 and there is still no category for text or social media. Please, change this. This is quite dated.
Adding Text message as a category is a must. So much communication is going on that way now.
Agree with the comments below about also needing a way to categorize Text messages.

We have had requests for a Social Media action category, in particular LinkedIn. At the moment we would need to add an action as an email and add a custom field to be able to report specifically on communications with constituents using LinkedIn messaging.
So Meeting, Phone Call, Email, Mail, Task plus another for Social Media or perhaps it is Message broken into SMS, LinkedIn, Facebook, WeChat.
My fundraisers have been asking how they should categorize text messages! Email, phone, Task/other...?
